Headquartered in New York's Adirondack Region, St. Joseph's provides inpatient, outpatient and aftercare services to men and women throughout New York State. Our 63-bed inpatient facility is located in Saranac Lake, while our outpatient clinics are located in Malone, Saranac Lake, Elizabethtown, Ticonderoga and on the campus of Mountain Lake Academy.
The Saranac Lake inpatient facility is located in the historic Rumsey Cottage, the former home of John Rumsey, a successful literary agent. Rumsey represented hundreds of the era's leading authors, from Eugene Walters ("Trail of the Lonesome Pine") to William Anthony McGuire and sold the motion picture rights to over 1,000 plays. He built the 20-room home on 20 acres in 1928.
Today, our treatment centers proudly employ 140 people who provide outstanding care to300 men and women at our inpatient facility and over 1,300 at our outpatient clinics each year.
